FAQ

Printing

Printers in the Volgenau School labs are managed by the GMU Print Services. The cost of printing for Mason Students and guests is $0.10 for Black & White and $0.25 for color.

How to print in the Volgenau School labs?

Canon has partnered with Mason to provide solutions for all your printing needs. Self-printing can be accomplished through Pay-for-Print (PFP) devices across all three campuses. The PFP network is accessible from Mason-operated computers or your own device.

There are 2 PFP-capable printers located in the Ngyuen Engineering Building Open Labs:

  • ENGR 1506, Computer Lab, 1st floor
  • ENGR 3204, 3rd floor

You should install the printer drivers on your computer to make use of the campus printers. Printing from mobile devices is also supported.

You can print to ANY of the PFP devices on ANY campus. When you swipe your card at a device in order to retrieve your job, you will only see your print jobs in the queue. The majority of PFP devices can print in color, however, device defaults have been set to Black & White print and Duplex/2-Sided to reduce cost and promote sustainability. These defaults can be changed via your print dialog box when you release your job.

Where can I add money to my print card/Mason ID?

The PFP devices accept Mason Money, which can be deposited on your Mason ID or on a copy card purchased from kiosks around campus.
