Instructions for Setting up a Windows VM on a Mac (Which you’ll need to in order to run Visio or Project on a Mac) can be found here. However, we STRONGLY recommend you utilize Visio via the Patriot Virtual Computing Lab rather than installing it locally in a VM.


Unfortunately, our Microsoft Agreement no longer allows for the installation of Microsoft Project in the Virtual Lab.


NOTE: You should also be aware that not all software has a version that is designed to be installed on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, etc) machines, even though there's now an Apple Silicon Windows version.
